Basqvium explores global tourism trends at FITUR 2026
Basqvium, the Basque company specialising in innovative tourist experiences, actively participated as a professional visitor at the 2026 International Tourism Fair (FITUR). Although it did not have its own stand at this edition, its presence focused on a strategic analysis of emerging trends, establishing sector contacts and monitoring the Basque Country’s outstanding representation.



Attending the fair allowed the company’s team to immerse themselves in the dynamics that are transforming the sector, with a special focus on digital innovation, sustainability and the growing demand for authentic and personalised experiences. FITUR 2026 once again established itself as a fundamental platform for gathering inspiration and reinforcing Basqvium’s strategic vision.
The visit included an active presence at the Basque Country’s institutional pavilion, where the team was able to see first-hand the region’s tourism prospects, which, as announced, broke a new historical record in 2025 with the arrival of 4.6 million visitors, and the initiatives promoted to position it as a leading destination. This participation reflects Basqvium’s commitment to the Basque tourism ecosystem and its alignment with the collective promotion of the destination.
The agenda was rounded off with the identification of new opportunities for collaboration, the study of innovative proposals from competing destinations, and the updating of key knowledge for the continuous evolution of Basqvium’s premium experiences offering.
